Voice care campaign
Can your voice be heard?
Did you know that 1 in 10 long-serving teachers and lecturers will be a patient in a voice clinic during their career? In fact, they are 8 times more likely to suffer voice problems than any other worker.
ATL believes it is vital that all education professionals are taught how to use their voice correctly and is calling for voice care to be made compulsory in all teacher and lecturer training courses. The campaign is being supported by Voice Care Network UK, the speech and language charity (www.voicecare.org.uk).
So what are you waiting for?
Make your voice heard today by signing our petition - please enter your name and postcode to register.
What you can do
A poster to support the campaign was circulated with the January/February issue of report. Additional copies can be ordered from ATL Despatch on 0845 4500 009 or by emailing despatch@atl.org.uk quoting PS065.
